What's it doing?Appliance repair across Greater Vancouver, BC
The code on the display, the noise, the puddle. Look it up below and see whether it's worth fixing, before anyone comes over. Then call, text us the sticker, or book.
Look up your codeThe code library
Read it here first.
Pick the appliance. Type the code on the display, or say it in your own words. You get the likely cause, whether it's worth fixing, and what's safe to check yourself.
It couldn't drain the water in time.

The one photo that helps most
Text us the sticker.
Snap the model sticker, add what it's doing, and send it. The tech shows up knowing your exact machine. It's usually somewhere you never look, so here's where to point the camera.
Where's my sticker?
Pick yours. The yellow tag is the usual spot; the dashed ring is the backup.
On a fridge
- Open the fresh food door and look at the inside side wall, high up or beside the crisper drawers.
- No luck? Pop off the grille at the very bottom front. Some brands put it there.
- Built in or panel ready: open the top grille above the doors.
On a washer
- Front loader, including stacked 24 inch units: open the door and look on the frame around the opening.
- Top loader: lift the lid and check under it, or on the back panel.
- Can't reach the back in a closet? A photo of the front and the brand logo is a fine start.
On a dryer
- Open the door and look up and around the inside of the opening, on the frame.
- Not there? Check the inner edge of the door itself, then the back panel.
- Ventless or combo unit: the sticker is usually around the door, same as a washer.
On a dishwasher
- Open the door and look at the left or right side of the tub opening.
- Or along the top edge of the door, the part you only see when it's open.
- Panel ready: same places. The cabinet panel hides the outside, not the edges.
On a range or wall oven
- Open the oven door and look along the frame around the opening, often low on one side.
- Range with a bottom drawer: pull it out and check the frame behind it.
- Cooktop only: it's usually underneath. A photo of the brand and the knobs is enough to start.
Get the whole label in one shot, flash on. Model and serial both help: the model tells us how the machine is built, and the serial often tells us how old it is. Can't find it at all? Send the front and the brand logo. We'll work from that.
How a visit works
Repair or replace? You hear it straight, before any work starts.
- 01
Tell us what it's doing
The code, the noise, the puddle. Add a photo of the model sticker and the tech arrives knowing your model.
- 02
We find the fault
At your place, on your machine. We show you what we found.
- 03
We tell you straight
Worth fixing, or time to replace. If a twelve year old dryer isn't worth a new drum, you hear that first.
- 04
You decide
Nothing starts until you say yes.

Your strata or property manager asks for it, we send it ahead of the visit.
Landlords and short-term hosts

Questions
Before you book.
Will you tell me if it isn't worth fixing?
Yes. The tech checks it, then tells you straight, repair or replace, before any work starts. Nothing starts until you say yes.
Is there a charge for the visit?
We tell you what the visit costs when you book, never at the door.
Can you work in my condo or strata building?
Yes. Tell us your building's rules when you book, like elevator booking, parking and hours, and we plan the visit around them. We can provide a strata insurance certificate on request.
Do you repair my brand?
Very likely. Tell us the brand and model, or text a photo of the sticker, and we'll confirm before booking. Not sure? Ask us first.
What should I have ready?
A photo of the model and serial sticker (here's where to look), plus the code or what it's doing.
Is it safe to try the checks myself?
The library only lists checks that are safe for anyone: filters, hoses, breakers, settings. Unplug first. If you smell gas, leave and call FortisBC or 911 from outside.

Still showing the code?
Tell us what it's doing. Call, text the code, or send a photo of the sticker, and we'll take it from there.
Or fill in the building card. Most repair visits go wrong in the lobby, not in the kitchen, so we ask the building questions before we come.
Card received.
We'll text you to set the time, and sort the elevator, parking and certificate with you before we come.
